About Gentle Touch Electrolysis

Want serenity now? We have created it. A quiet, peaceful space just for you. A little cabin in the woods, just a couple of miles from the ocean, very quaint and private.

We are a spa without the pomp. We offer all of the same services as any other commercial spa. What makes our business unique is our attention to creating and maintaining an anxiety free environment! Here you will find a quaint and quiet environment. Our location is very private and off the beaten path. The office is comfortably nestled in the midst of the woods of York, Maine. When you come for your appointment, you will be happily greeted at the door by our fluffball cat, Whoopie. Our coon cat, Cooper, may be lounging around outside as well.

I never thought we would have a successful business in the middle of the woods. However it has been working for the past 15 years. Our clients tell us that they feel like it is their own secret place to escape to. A place to come and unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. There's a little bit of everyting here at Gentle Touch.

Choose among the many services at gentle touch whether it be a bud lavender facial under steam, with Sarah Brightman echoing on the porch. Sipping a little green tea while having your hair cut. Or one of the many new services offered is microdermabrasion. This process gently removes dead skin cells, minor wrinkles, skin blemishes, acne scars, and removal of sun damaged epidermis. This procedure is more effective, safer, and predictable than a chemical peel.

So come and check us out and experience your spa treatments the Gentle Touch way!

About Donna

I am a licensed barber and cosmetologist. I do men and women’s haircutting. I have been cutting hair since 1977. I started out my career at Bernard's Barber Shop in Portsmouth. I was there for about 16 years before deciding to go back to school. I went back to school and added 2 other services on top of haircutting to my business. After graduating and getting licensed, it was then that I decided to open my own business. We live in a beautiful Log Home near the York River. My husband, Glenn, put an addition on our home about 20 years ago for my business. I turn this into a peaceful, private location for my salon. I never knew that having a business in the middle of the woods of York, Maine would be where I would end up. It has been the best idea I ever had. My children are now grown and married however it was nice to be near and working out of the house when ever they arrived home from school. What a blessing. I’m not intending on retiring any time soon. I have a terrific clientele that I love serving. They have become my friends and I look forward to each and every appointment!
